Cubancards.com offers the 1994 Serie Selectiva league baseball cards which include the best players from a “Golden Era” of Cuban baseball - an era regarded by many as the finest in Cuban baseball history. This Cuban Greats Photo Gallery features players who are widely recognized for their historic achievements and are no longer active in Cuban league play. They include Omar Linares, German Mesa, Antonio Pacheco, Orestes Kindelan, Victor Mesa, Luis Ulacia, and Jorge Luis Valdes – names synonymous with the Cuban game itself.
This Photo Gallery includes several of Cuba’s top players today, including Pedro Luis Lazo, Ariel Pestano and Eduardo Paret, all members of Team Cuba since the 1990s and standouts on Olympic and World Baseball Classic Teams.
Note: Serie Nacional (SN) seasons span the fall and winter (i.e. '08-'09). On this site, we refer to the latter year (i.e. '09) to represent the entire season.
